PHOTO NEWS: MARITIME POLICE COMMAND KICKS OFF DAY 3 OF NATIONAL POLICE DAY 2026 WITH SENSITIZATION DRIVE FOR BOAT OPERATORS AND WATERWAY USERS IN LAGOS
As part of activities marking Day 3 of the 2026 National Police Day celebration, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Maritime Police Command, AIG Okunade Ronke Nurat, fsi, mspsp, on Wednesday, 1st April, 2026, carried out a public sensitization exercise at the NIWA Jetty, CMS, Lagos.
According to ASP Adebayo Rasheed Adesayo, Police Public Relations Officer, Maritime Police Command, the sensitization exercise was carried out in collaboration with NIWA’s Area Manager. Key areas discussed included best practices, regulatory compliance, fostering positive police-community relations, and the importance of collective efforts in ensuring inland waterway safety.
