AKURE, ONDO STATE – Tuesday, July 28, 2026: The Nigeria Police Force has promoted Adebayo Adeoya to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in recognition of his years of dedicated, professional, and exemplary service to the Force and the nation.

DCP Adeoya Adebayo psc (+), was officially decorated with his new rank on Tuesday during a ceremony held at the Zone 17 Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force in Akure, Ondo State, in the presence of senior police officers, family members, friends, and well-wishers.

The promotion forms part of the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to rewarding excellence, integrity, discipline, professionalism, and exceptional performance among its officers.

Until his elevation, DCP Adeoya served as the Area Commander of Ore Area Command in Ondo State, where he earned commendation for his commitment to intelligence-led policing, crime prevention, public safety, and effective community engagement. Throughout his policing career, he has built a reputation as a disciplined, courageous, and result-oriented officer dedicated to the protection of lives and property and the enforcement of the law.
