AIG Zone 2 Decorates 144 Officers With New Ranks

The Assistant Inspector−General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade, mni, psc, mnim, fisn, has decorated one hundred and forty-four (144) newly promoted officers serving within the Zone, with their new ranks. The officers were promoted from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II).

According to DSP Afolayan Gbenga, Police Public Relations Officer for Zone 2 Command Headquarters, the ceremony saw recently promoted officers receiving their new rank badges amidst applause from colleagues, family, and guests at the Zone 2 Command headquarters.

In his address, AIG Adegoke Fayoade congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions, describing them as rewards for their dedication, hard work and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Emphasizing the need for discipline, respect for human rights and community-oriented policing, the AIG charged the newly promoted officers to see their promotion as a call to greater responsibility, renewed commitment and sustained efforts towards ensuring the safety and security of lives and property.

AIG Adegoke Fayoade also commended the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM, and the Police Service Commission for their unwavering commitment to motivating officers through timely promotions. He noted that such gestures serve as morale boosters and ultimately enhance quality police service delivery.
